A wide-ranging curriculum is offered in Art and Design. Children learn about well known artists, from the traditional through impressionism to the abstract. They develop their drawing and painting skills by imitating the different styles of these artists.
Opportunities are provided for imaginative work with clay and textiles, including the making of masks and puppets.
A workshop on African Tribal Art is held each year when children learn about traditional African art by handling and sketching masks, carvings and weapons.
There is a thriving after school Art Club, in which enthusiasts can have a go at a range of different activities to those offered in class.
