Caterham School is set within 80 acres sited at the head of the lovely Harestone Valley in the heart of the North Downs in Surrey. It has easy access from the M25 and is only a 30 minute train ride from the centre of London.

We do hope that you will come to visit the school. We have two Open Mornings a year but you are most welcome at any time to see the school in action and to meet both staff and children.

By Air

By Road from M25:

At Junction 6, take the A22 northbound for about a mile. At the traffic lights bear left signposted Caterham on the B2030. In the town turn left at the roundabout and then take first left into Harestone Valley Road. Drive for approximately 3/4 mile. Shortly after passing the Senior School on the left hand side turn left into Harestone Valley Road (the main road becomes Weald Way and heads up beyond the school grounds). The car park for Caterham Preparatory School is approximately 200 yards on the left.

By Road from M23:

At Junction 8, take the M25 eastwards for about 3 miles then as from M25 junction 6.

By Rail:

Caterham Railway Station is a 15 minute walk away from the school. Taxis are available at the station. There are regular trains to and from East Croydon and London.


By Air:

London Gatwick Airport is approximately 30 minutes.
London Heathrow Airport is approximately 1 hour.
London City Airport is approximately 1 hour.


Visitor parking is available at the school.
